This clay was spun into a nice accent bowl/trinket dish. It looks like it is marked "PAWLET Vt. '78", but it is also stamped with "Marion" or "Marlon" above the base - so I honestly have no idea, maybe Pawlet was a scoundrel back in 1978.  There's a small chip out of the top lip. The pottery measures approx. 3.25" diameter across the top x 1 7/8" tall and weighs about 0.75 lb(s).
