This is a set of hand painted wooden bookends manufactured by Sevi in the 1960's. The bookends themselves are green. There is a little boy and little girl, made all in wood, sitting down reading a book. Each of these bookends measures approximately 4 3/4" in width, height of 4 7/8" and a depth of 4". These Sevi bookends are in great condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.

Sevi, who's name is a combination of initials of the founders son's two name, Senoner Vinzenz, has been in existence for about a 184 years. Their designs originate with specialty trained toy designers in Italy and than produced in the Far East in a Trudi-run factory employing local artisans under fair and safe working conditions.
