Original Friemann Wolf Mining FWD 20502 Miner's Lamp Weather Hazard. This is an antique, miner’s carbide lantern, probably dating from the early 1920s. It is marked FWD on top, so we believe it to be a Friemann & Wolf. There is also a number engraved on top, which we believe is the model number of the lamp: 20502. It retains its original German glass in perfect condition. This piece is made from cast iron and brass, and as far as we know it has never been polished or restored, so it retains its original, wonderful warm patina. The complete lighting mechanism is present, and it even retains an original wick. It would look great used as a decorative piece in a living room, bar area, or in an office setting for companies involved in mining, manufacturing, or construction.
