A vintage, toy “slate” from the 1950's - 1960's. This is not made of slate; rather it appears to be sturdy heavy pressed board. It has a smooth slate-like surface which easily accommodates chalk writing. The alphabet and numbers decorate the edges of this learning toy.

The slate shows some signs of use. Seems to have some water/liquid damage to the back however, the front is still good. Chalk still writes well on this old toy, and it is still easily erased. The "Transo-Slate" is approximately 8 inches wide, 6 inches high, and 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick. (Chalk not included.)
